Hi Everyone,
I am going to start with an easy upcycle. I saw this $6 top and it looked brand new. I walked by it for a while and wondered why someone would abandon a well made blouse like this. Well, to be honest I would have abandoned it too. It was just way too frilly and not very comfortable, but the difference between the person who left it behind and myself is that I have skills to change things.

I know it is a simple fix but very effective! This will be a great addition to my summer wardrobe. Please tell me what you think and let me know what you are working on this summer. Can’t wait to hear from you…

It’s adorable, Mary! I admire your talent.
Thanks Allison,
I had fun with it!
Mary, you did a perfect job! It looks so much lighter and fashionable. Please keep up the great posts.
Thank you Georgie. You are right! It is soooo much lighter. When I first tried it on for basic fit, I immediately wanted to rip those babies off. Now it is perfect for the heat. I appreciate your comments.
Perfect! Nice and easy. You could make a tie belt out of those sleeves as another option also.
Hey Betty, Nice to hear from you! Yes, A tie belt is an option but I think I am going to put the ruffle from the sleeves onto a black basic t-shirt. The rest of the sleeves will be scrap fabric to patch blue jeans or quilted decorations. I appreciate you!
Love it! Just right is right !
Hello Krista,
Glad you agree. It is nice to know that I can change a top when it is “Almost,” right. Thanks for the thumbs up and stay tuned for more to come!-Mary
