Hello Everyone!
The summer has raced by and I am not sure where all my time went. Before it ended I did manage to finish another project to share inspired by this trend from the luxury brand Johnny Was.

Fitting the sleeve and the side panels was more of a chore than I bargained for but I think it was worth the time and effort. As always what do you think? I love to hear from you!
Happy Refashioning!

I love it! Great Idea! :o)
Hi Marla,
Thank you so much for your comments. I am so glad you like my little blog
Hi Marla!
Thanks so much. I think I will finally be able to wear it now that it has stopped being in the 100’s here in SoCal!
Looks beautiful and chic.
Love it.
Hi Pat!
Love to hear your comment. Thanks for checking out my blog!
Hello Mary,
The lace sleeve top looks lovely. I tend to shy away from white tops, as sure as eggs I’ll splash something on them and be left with a stain. Do you ever dye clothes that you upcycle?
Hi Janene!
Yes I do! A white lined top I did years ago got those underarm yellow stains so I dyed it yellow. I got many more years of wear from it. I have also dyed a few others. I often upcycle some things more than once if you look through my history!-Thanks for your comments!
morning Mary, just discovered your blog and can’t tell you how thrilling of a find. i love to refashion but yours are way more creative than mine. i have gone thru ALL of your categories and the little gray cells [ as Poirot would say ] have been very active and can’t wait to start sewing . My closet and fabric stash are full of items just waiting to see the light again.
Hello Pam and Welcome,
I am so glad you have been inspired. I am a teacher by day so I love to help inspire others. I haven’t been very active for a while many factors have contributed to the lull but that will hopefully change once I retire in June 2026. Stay tuned for more! It will come I promise. Mary
Hello,
I was just checking to see if you are back yet since I love your blog. Are you fully retired now that the school year is over? Do you still sell items through Poshmark? Thanks.
Hello Maria
Thank you for your comments and loving my blog. Yes, as of June 4th I am fully retired and the school year is over. I am allowing some time for a reset but I am determined to get back to my blog. I still have my Poshmark closet but have not been active lately due to the overwhelming demands of teaching this past year.
I will however get back into selling select pieces here and there when I find them. I am looking to start posting toward the end of July. Stay tuned. Good things are coming. Mary AKA: Thrifty CHic
