Hi Everyone!
.
OK! How many of these have you seen in your lifetime? Ugh right?

.
I turned that awful maxi into a totally functional summer top!

.
“Easy Sneezy!!!!” Step 1 ) Remove the offending tube top YUK!

.
Step 2) Lay my tank pattern out and cut the side seam straight down to the ruffle

.

.
Step 3) I just zipped up the side seams and 1/4″ top stitched the neckline and armholes and I was ready to rock! Maxi dresses are a treasure trove of fabric possibilities!!!

I love it! The pattern and colors are a real plus. Do you have any plans for the offending tube top?
Hi Sarah,
Thanks for the thumbs up! I have no use for tube top anything so it is in the trash where it belongs HAHAHA!
I am always buying maxi dresses for the fabric!!
Hi Jody W.!
Right? There is a world of possibilities there!
Nice refashion, Mary. I like the way that the stripes create a frame to enhance the floral print 🙂
Hi Mother Deer!
It was so easy which is a huge plus for my life right now, and with the heat in So Cal it was a much needed piece to my wardrobe!
Superbe ! et très bonne idée !
Elisabeth!
Merci beaucoup!
I think it’s wonderful. Guess I need to make a visit to the thrift store.
Thanks.
Pat
Hi Pat,
I love it! Sometimes you find something sometimes you don’t but it is a treasure hunt every time I go 🙂
MUCH better! I share your disdain for the shirred tube top…hopefully that’s a fading trend 🙂
Hi Laura,
They should be banned altogether! HAHA!
Hey!!!!! That’s a cool idea!!!! Thanks!
You are so talented!!
Hi Melody,
Thanks so much! I am really glad you like it! So easy to do!!!!
Once again, you have found and released the beautiful garment hidden in the original 🙂
Looks really nice on you.
Hi THere JO H.
